Plainly, and before anything else: Cliffs of Moher Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you.

What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator, a ferry company, a coach company or a visitor attraction. We do not run any of these coaches, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with the Cliffs of Moher Experience, Clare County Council, the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, Doolin Ferry, Aillwee Cave or Caherconnell Stone Fort. We do not sell admission to the cliffs and could not: the Visitor Experience sells its own at its own gate and through its own booking system.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. The badges are arithmetic: the best seller is the card with the most reviews on the page, the best value is the lowest fare in the catalogue, and the top-rated one carries a 5.0 rating. Where one operator sells a similar day on both platforms, both listings appear, because both are separately bookable and their prices and review counts differ.

The three featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different kinds of day from two different cities, chosen so that the first thing you see is a choice rather than a repetition.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were read from their own listings on 14 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Everything is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing here is converted at an exchange rate. Most fares are per person, and the four private days are priced per group — on three of those four the fare covers fewer travellers than the vehicle seats, which is stated on each card.

Where we state a fact about a fee, an opening time or the cliffs themselves, it comes from the body that sets it: the Cliffs of Moher Experience for its admission, hours, paths and access, and the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark for the landscape around it.

What we deliberately do not publish

• An online admission price for the Cliffs of Moher. The attraction sells online entry in three arrival bands and advertises up to 45% off peak, but publishes no figure for any band outside its own booking engine. The gate rates, which it does publish, are on visiting the cliffs.
• An admission price for Aillwee Cave or Caherconnell Stone Fort. Both are stops on tours listed here and neither figure could be read from the body that sets it, so the pages say the admission is outside the fare and leave the number to the gate.
• A month-by-month opening-hours table. The attraction publishes a headline 8am–7pm and describes seasonal variation without tabulating it. A table nobody can check against a source is worse than a range.
• An age for the rock in millions of years. Widely repeated elsewhere, not published by the attraction or the Geopark on a page we could read.
• A cliff-top duration for one Aran Islands day. One listing names the admission in its fare but never says how long you get on top. Its card says so rather than estimating.
